Using web based technology fredkid.com is an innovative and powerful communication tool that will enable parents to access these tools and resources. They strive to make this resource accessible to all parents and caregivers in the Greater Fredericton Area.
Goals
The following goals support our vision:
- Increase awareness of family related resources in the GFA;
- Facilitate interaction between families in the GFA;
- Help make the Greater Fredericton Area a more attractive and safe area for families with young children;
- Facilitate integration of immigrant families (out of province and out of country);
- Provide a free online resource accessible to all interested parties (parents, organizations, residents);
- Bridge the gap between families of diverse backgrounds;
- Help families make healthy, community based choices by emphasizing social development and physical well-being;
- Promote and support local businesses; and
- Set an example of a website that is socially and environmentally conscious.
