Hot Toads! Return Policy

Hot Toads! Toys - 21 DAY REFUND and RETURN POLICY

We at Hot Toads! Toys want to ensure that your toy purchases fulfill your needs and desires for yourself and your family, this is why we offer a 21 day refund or return policy on most products. We want to be sure you are 100% satisfied with your purchase. Sometimes mistakes or situations are beyond our control – and we would like to do our very best to keep you, our customer, happy.

This policy is made available to make sure you are aware of how we handle refunds and returns. By completing your order, it is assumed you have read, understand completely, and have agreed to this policy. Please read carefully, and feel free to Contact Us if you have any questions or concerns.

Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Products


• When you receive your package(s), please inspect the package and contents immediately.
• If there is any damage to the products caused by the carrier, inspect the contents immediately while the carrier is still present. Mark the shipping document as received damaged, have the carrier acknowledge the damage with their signature and keep a copy for your records.
• If you have received a damaged, defective, or incorrect product, please Contact Us immediately by e-mail or phone so we may rectify the issue. Do not ship the package(s) back until we have issued you a Hot Toads! Returns Tracking Number – See “How to Return Products” - as we will provide you with the proper information to return the product. Hot Toads! will then issue replacement or refund as quickly as possible upon receipt of products at the warehouse. If the product is not available, Hot Toads! reserves the right to replace the article with a similar item of equal or greater value, or issue a refund. In either case we will ask you first which option you prefer.

How to Return Products

• For your convenience and tracking ease you must complete a Hot Toads! Returns Tracking Form before returning any product.
• The Return Tracking Form must be completed in full and returned to Hot Toads! via e-mail, fax or regular mail. This form will allow you to return products without having to include original invoices and credit card receipts in your application for a refund or return. You will be required to fill in some of the original receipt information on the form, do not discard your invoices, packing slips or receipts! This form must be accurately completed in full. Any omissions or errors will only delay processing your request or may result in rejection of your application.
• Upon receiving your completed Return Authorization Form, Hot Toads! will reply to you with a Return Tracking Number if the merchandise is deemed eligible for a return.
• Upon receipt of Return Tracking Number, returns should be packed in such a way that they are received intact, with the Return Tracking Number on the outside of the carton and shipped prepaid via ground delivery. We strongly recommend that you ship via a traceable and insured method of transportation as we cannot assume any responsibility for the products if lost or damaged while in transit to Hot Toads! Check with your courier at the time of shipment to make sure these services are offered and utilized.
• If you are still not satisfied with your replacement product, you must fill in a new Return Authorization Form and obtain another Return Authorization Number for each shipment or order, regardless if you have already acquired this information on the original order.

About Your Return

• We will only process a request for a refund or return that is received by Hot Toads! within 21 days of invoice date.
• Returned products must be in new and unused condition. The merchandise must have all original tags, inserts, and packaging intact – absolutely no exceptions. Hot Toads! reserves the right to refuse issuing a refund or exchange if these criteria are not met.
• Dolls and plush toys returned with tags removed are not eligible for refund.
• Games, software, music CD’s, DVD’s, batteries, plants, science/building kits, articles of clothing, and/or any other product with the cellophane removed or boxes damaged are not eligible for refund.
• If product was Special Ordered, Mulitple Quantities, or a Custom Produced Product, [i}Hot Toads! Toys reserves the right charge a 20% Re-stocking fee.
• If game pieces or parts are missing from a board game or a science/building kit, please contact us.
Hot Toads! cannot refund original shipping fees or the cost of shipping to return the item to Hot Toads! for refund unless we shipped the wrong product in error, in which case Hot Toads! will pay only for returning the product to our warehouse.
• In the event the merchandise originally shipped to you was the incorrect item shipped, Hot Toads! will pay for return shipping (you are still required to fill in the Return Authorization Form, and obtain a Return Authorization Number). Hot Toads! will provide the information required to arrange return shipping with our carrier – if use of an un-authorized carrier is employed the shipment will be refused.

Shipping Your Return

• To avoid damage, products should be re-packed in original cartons with original packing material. Items that are poorly packed are often damaged in the shipping process. If we receive returned merchandise that is damaged in transit, we will refuse the shipment and withhold and cancel the refund. It is the shipping party’s responsibility to file a claim for lost or damaged shipments with the shipping carrier used to return products.
• Please make sure Return Tracking Number, issued by Hot Toads! is clearly marked on outside of carton and a copy of the Returns Tracking Form is included inside the carton. If these procedures are not completed Hot Toads! reserves the right to refuse the return shipment at your cost and expense. Completing and following these procedures will only help to expedite processing of your refund or replacement of the merchandise being returned.
• Upon receiving a Return Authorization Number the merchandise must be shipped within 7 business days back to Hot Toads! If this is not done, any entitlement to refund, exchange, or otherwise may be waived.

Receiving Your Refund

Upon receiving your returned product, we will issue a refund (normally within 5 business days) to the original purchasing credit card and notify you by e-mail that the transaction has been completed, including the credit card company return authorization number so you may track the transaction and reconcile it on your credit card statement.

Please note that it may take up to 7 days after posting the transaction for the refund to appear on your credit card statement. Please check the policy with your credit card issuer for more information.

Product Warranties

Any manufacturer warranty information will be included in the packaging of your products (Please see manufacturers links regarding warranty inquiries). If there is no warranty information provided, the 21 day return policy applies.

Product Recalls


In the event there is a recall of a toy for any reason, it is your responsibility to contact the manufacturer of the toy and follow their instructions for returning or replacement of parts. Hot Toads! will post any recall information we are aware of directly on the Manufacturer’s Links page to make it easier for you. We try to select only the highest quality toys from the best manufacturers to avoid these sort of situations but it does happen and is beyond our control.

Holiday Gifts and Delayed Gift Giving

If you purchase merchandise that will not be opened until 21 days after purchase (for example: purchasing Christmas gifts in October that will not be opened until Christmas morning), the 21 day return policy only applies to the original DATE OF INVOICE, not the day the gift was opened. For this reason it is of the utmost importance to inspect all merchandise thoroughly upon initial receipt from Hot Toads!
